ABOUT ME

José Luis Echave

I compose music that turns images into emotions, bringing cinematic worlds and video games to life through sound.

I am a musician, composer, music producer, and sound designer, specializing in original scores for film and video games.

My work has been awarded in various international competitions. including the award for Best Soudtrack at the SCA® International Film Festival for "The Phantom Bird", as well as nominations for Best Original Score at the Apollo Global Music Awards for "Songs of Steel: Hispania", and awards for Best Composition at the Global Music Awards for "I Am Lecter" and "The Journey of the Guardians of the Wind". In addition, I was a finalist at the Film Music Contest with "Through Time".

I hold advanced qualifications in music production, including a Higher National Diploma in Music Production (Grade Distinction) from CEV awarded by Pearson, a Master’s in Music Production from CEV, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production (First Class Honours) from Teesside University.

From intimate and ethereal textures to powerful, epic soundscapes, I shape my music around the story each project needs to tell. I have composed original scores for short films, video games, audiobooks, and advertising, always aiming to craft a distinctive sonic identity that connects with audiences.
